Monitoring NetWare servers with the Big Brother system

These pages are meant for people who has a need for integrating their Netware servers in the Big Brother system they are already running.

Systems it will run on

It has been tested on Netware 3.12, 4.10, 4.11 and 5.00, but since it's deliberately been developed using functions that are valid for both 3.* and 4.*, it should be possible to run it on most.

Monitored parameters

Currently the only parameters monitored are the space used on a per volume basis, with limits settable for all or individual volumes.

Installing BBNW

Installing the daemon consists of three steps:

1. download it
2. configure it
3. start it

Announcement of upgrades etc.

To facilitate fast information to users of bbnw, I've made an announcement list for users of the bbnw client.

This list has only one purpose, to send information on upgrades, and bugs, and is implemented as a moderated mailinglist.
