About IAESTEIAESTE stands for the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience and was founded in 1948. The purpose of IAESTE is to promote international understanding through the exchange of students within technical and scientific education programmes to study-related traineeships abroad. In 1948 ten European countries, including Denmark, founded IAESTE in a post war effort to promote better understanding between countries and cultures. Since 1948 the organization has grown to the current 87 countries worldwide.
